Join this on line weaving class on Wednesday January 15, 22, 29 & February 8th. 10am PST or 5pm PST. You will use the piece you created in Weave Your Story to examine all the ways this tool can be used in a therapy practice. No weaving experience is necessary. The prerequisite for the Instructor Course is to have a finished Weave Your Story Piece plus an accompanying story
With the skills you learn from “Weave your Story” you will be given an instructors package so you can teach the program yourself in your community.
The first lesson we will go over the expectation, then discuss with Art Therapists form around the world how they can use Weave Your Story with clients. In this week you will go over different interactive exercises that you can use when working in person with clients individually or in a group. You will divide into breakout rooms and connect with therapists form around the world and discuss your own pieces confidentially.
The second week you go over materials for the warp and the resource material. We will explore ideas of how to support your clients as they develop their warps and tap into their own strengths. Discover how to help clients identify their strengths.
On the third week you will learn weaving techniques that help you support your clients with their project and how you can make this process totally representative of your clients.. You do not need to be a weaver to teach the simple weaving techniques used in Weave Your Story. Discover techniques on how to help your clients move past blockages and continue weaving.
The fourth week we will discuss your creations and the story with the other participants. You will be given a list of prompts to ask yourself about your piece when you move into breakout rooms.. We will go over ways that you can use Weave Your Story to bring an income into your Art Therapy Practice or to use as an outreach for your guild.
When you pay the fees for the online course the instructor course is included but you must finish your piece and then you will be given the zoom link for the instructor course.
If you aren’t available on the times that the lessons are live, you can watch a recording and it will count towards your attendance.
